Charlotte came awake with a start.  She wasn’t sure what woke her and she tried to think about it as she listened to the ceiling fan make it’s unstable rotations. As she listened in the darkness she began to realize that she was not alone in the room. Becoming frightened she tentatively reached for the lamp beside her bed.  With the light on she found herself blinking against the soft glow trying to get her eyes to work. As her night vision faded she saw a man standing beside her bed looking down at her.

Clutching her blanket to her Charlotte inhaled to scream but found she couldn’t breath. The man beside her bed reached out for her face and as she backed away. She soon found herself pressed against the headboard. With nowhere to run the intruder reached the distance and stroked Charlotte's cheek whispering “shhhhh…” to her.

Charlotte calmed although she couldn’t figure out why she should. Vampires... Yummy.

This story has a couple of chapters completed so far (5 last time I counted) .  It's general synopsis is about a human servant who falls in love with a mortal woman and then she catches the attention of the master vamp.

In this story I am working on some new ideas (at least I think they're new) about relationship between vampire and human servant.  Digging in a little into their relationship and the rituals that bind them together.

I have hopes that this story will be long enough to stand alone.  I guess I'll have to see about that once I get it done.
